|Meeting Description:||A linguistic session within a conference dealing with the study of the Medieval Period (approximately AD 450-1500). Papers can be on any aspect of any language spoken during this period using literary texts as at least part of the data.
The Society has been in existence since 1996, with its main focus to bring scholars interested in the linguistics of medieval languages to the annual Kalamazoo Congresses, whether the scholars identify as medievalists or historical linguists, and to establish a permanent place for important linguistic scholarship within the scope of fields presented at the Congress.
