How to Annotate
Page Index
Pages related to annotation
When annotating a data set, it is vital that characters be coded unambiguously. This is done by using an encoding system that maintains a one-to-one correspondance between code-points and the characters they represent, as is the case with Unicode. To learn how to use Unicode, visit the Unicode How to Page.
It is also necessary that the annotative terminology be transparent. This is done by linking the terminology used to a generally accepted ontology. To learn more about using an Ontology, go to the Ontology Section of the Classroom.
